About Us
ProLawnPlus is a local Maryland lawn care company. We provide lawn care, tree & shrub services, and outdoor insect control sprays. We’ve been servicing Maryland residents in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, & Howard County, as well as portions of Harford and Carroll Counties for over 40 years. The company was founded in 1978 by Frank Stevens. Frank founded the company after managing a larger lawn care company. He felt he could improve customer satisfaction by starting on his own. Mark Schlossberg was hired by Frank in 1986 to help grow the business. When Frank retired in 1991, Mark took over the company and is still ProLawnPlus’s president today. With Mark’s help and his management team, the company has grown to be one of the most highly-regarded lawn care companies in the Baltimore area.
After taking over as president of ProLawnPlus, Mark continued ProLawnPlus’s involvement with environmental issues that Frank had started. This has greatly influenced ProLawnPlus’s lawn care program, products, and application techniques. Most ProLawnPlus applicators are certified and get recertified yearly by the MD Dept of Ag. Our technicians are trained to use the minimal amount of fertilizer and pesticides needed for healthy turf so that customers may enjoy a beautiful, healthy lawn without overuse of chemicals. We also offer a 100% natural-organic root stimulant treatment as an optional service that we envision allowing further reductions in fertilizer and pesticide usage.
ProLawnPlus stresses the importance of customer service just as much as we promote healthy lawns. We insist that employees work with customers as much as possible to diagnose and correct lawn issues that arise. We only hire employees who communicate well with customers and who are professional on the site or in the office. We keep trucks and equipment in top working condition and workers in uniforms. We credit customer service as a key to the company’s success and stress that a service provider has to take care of customers the same way he or she would want to be treated.
